Which Appliance Job Do You Need?

We handle fridges, freezers, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and small appliances. Unusual, oversized, heavy, or commercial units are assessed case by case and quoted accordingly. Describe each unit and the task needed.

Store or Seller Pickup

A fridge, washer, or dryer from a retailer or private seller. Share the model, collection instructions, and available pickup window.

Transport Between Homes

An existing fridge, dishwasher, or range moving to another address. Include its dimensions, condition, and access at both ends.

Old Appliance Removal

An unwanted unit taken away as part of a replacement or clear-out. List its type and location, and tell us if a new unit also needs delivery.

Plan the Help You Need

Our focus is transporting, moving, and placing appliances. Preparation is assessed case by case for each unit and agreed before pickup, including any disconnection or draining needed. We can refer you to partner businesses for installation services, including plumbing.

Appliance Acceptance
We handle standard household appliances. Heavy, oversized, unusual, or commercial units are assessed case by case and quoted accordingly. Identify built-in or stacked units and include photos, dimensions, condition, and any preparation needed.
Collection & Placement
Owners and employees carry out jobs, normally with two to three staff and more as needed. The crew handles all lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading; customer help is not required. Choose curbside, building-entrance, or indoor placement, including a specific room, as agreed in your quote. Stairs, heavy items, and difficult access are assessed case by case.
Protection & Transport
We supply moving blankets, straps, and stretch wrap, with floor and doorway protection as needed included in the quoted price. Vans are used, with larger vehicles arranged when needed. Capacity and multiple vehicles or trips are assessed during quoting, with all planned trips included. Each unit's preparation and transport needs are assessed case by case before pickup.
Preparation & Connections
We can provide simple disconnection help and appliance placement, assessed case by case and agreed before pickup. Installation is outside our core transport service; we can refer you to partner businesses for installation services, including plumbing. Preparation requirements are assessed case by case for each appliance and agreed before pickup.

Before Pickup Day

Gather the appliance and access details before choosing a collection time.

  1. Identify Every Unit. Send photos, the type and model, dimensions, and weight if known. Include both the new and old units for a replacement job.
  2. Describe Both Locations. Share addresses, floors, stairs, elevator access, parking, and the distance to the loading area.
  3. Check the Route Through. Measure narrow doors and elevators, photograph tight turns, and flag uncertain access for assessment. Dimensions alone don't guarantee a fit.
  4. Share Readiness Details. Preparation is assessed case by case. Tell us what is still connected, whether draining or other preparation is needed, and whether the unit is ready to move. Agree on preparation and any simple disconnection help before pickup; ask us about partner referrals for installation.
  5. Authorise Collection. Haul Aboard coordinates pickup with the store or seller after you authorise us to collect. Include Haul Aboard in the seller's pickup authorisation and share contact details, instructions, and available times.
  6. Arrange Access & Attendance. Customers arrange required elevator bookings, loading bays, and parking permits. Unattended access to your property can be arranged; complex arrangements require you or an authorised representative to be present. Stay reachable by phone on pickup day.

Appliance Job Questions

Include any details specific to your appliance, pickup, or removal in your quote request.

Send the appliance details, photos, locations, and access information. The number and size of units, distance, carrying requirements, and any removal needs help us assess your job. Quotes are free, with a reply within 24 hours.

Pricing is quote-only, normally fixed-price, with no minimum charge. Distance, labour, access, parking, waiting, planned stops or trips, and other job factors are assessed case by case. Any special hourly exception, such as waiting time, is agreed in the quote. Taxes are shown.

Load changes or extra work require an updated quote or service-request agreement and your approval through our software or by email before the changed work proceeds.

Our main service is transporting, moving, and placing appliances. Simple disconnection help is assessed case by case and agreed before pickup. Tell us what is still connected and what help is needed before pickup so we can confirm the scope.

We can refer you to partner businesses for installation services, including plumbing.

Preparation requirements are assessed case by case for each appliance. Share its model, condition, and readiness so the preparation needed can be agreed before pickup.

Include dimensions and weight if known, the number of flights, elevator access, and photos of narrow entrances or turns. Identify built-in or stacked units and any uncertain access before scheduling.

Stairs, heavy items, and difficult access are assessed case by case, with requirements factored into the quote. Normally two to three staff attend, with more as needed. Indoor placement or drop-off is agreed beforehand and included in your quote.

If access differs on the day, we discuss it with you and obtain approval for any changes. If a unit still cannot fit after any agreed preparation, we work through alternatives with you in order: alternative placement, returning it, then rescheduling to reassess a solution. Changes outside the agreed work require an approved revised quote.

We prefer to donate usable items and recycle units that cannot be donated. Our team selects the destination, checks acceptance, and can choose an alternative within the agreed job if a facility rejects an item. Outcomes depend on facility acceptance.

Facility fees are factored into the overall price and included in the agreed quote. We absorb disposal-cost differences for the quoted job if costs differ from our estimate or were missed. Load changes or extra work still require an approved revised quote.

Customers separate items beforehand; crew sorting is available for a fee. Collection-area cleanup is included. Disposal receipts and drop-off records are not normally provided, except in special cases.

We serve Metro Vancouver, with longer-distance jobs considered case by case. Evenings, weekends, short-notice jobs, and same-day pickups depend on the schedule. All services use the same booking software with our most up-to-date availability.

Your booking is confirmed once the quote is approved and the date is finalised. Online booking is coming soon on this site; for now, email details and photos to hello@haulaboard.ca. We reply within 24 hours and check our inbox roughly hourly.

Deposits are only required for longer or higher-cost jobs; smaller jobs do not require one. Deposit amounts are decided per quote and due before the job. The remaining balance is due on completion. We accept cash and e-transfer, with credit and debit card payments through our online system. We provide invoices to all customers.

Cancellation and rescheduling are handled case by case. Email us as soon as possible to discuss fees or deposit arrangements. If we cannot access your property or you are unavailable, be ready to take our call. If still unreachable, the booking must be rescheduled.

If Haul Aboard needs to cancel or reschedule, your deposit is refunded unless you accept rescheduling to a future date.

Haul Aboard coordinates collection after you authorise us to pick up the item. Include Haul Aboard in the seller's pickup authorisation and share contact details and collection instructions. Customers can pay Haul Aboard or the store/seller before pickup.

If the store or seller is not ready or available and you still want collection, a fee applies for the time spent waiting and travelling to the seller. Any revised quote requires your approval.

We carry commercial insurance; email us if you have questions about coverage for your job. For appliance transport, report damage as soon as possible to hello@haulaboard.ca. We take before-and-after photos and may upload them to the customer portal.

Damage concerns, pre-existing damage, fragile items, and customer belongings are assessed case by case in discussion with you.
